About
About RefrigerantReady
RefrigerantReady is an independent study resource for the EPA Section 608 technician certification exam: Core, Type I, Type II, Type III and Universal. It is written for trade school students and working technicians who study on a phone, in short sessions.
How we write
- Every fact about the rules comes from an official page: EPA's Section 608 pages on epa.gov, or 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F on ecfr.gov. Each article links to the page it relies on.
- When an official page does not state something, we do not state it either. We tell you who to ask instead.
- All practice questions are written from scratch. We do not copy, collect or reproduce questions from any real exam or any certifying organization.
- We do not publish pass rates, testimonials or promises about exam results. Passing depends on you and on the test you take.
What RefrigerantReady is not
RefrigerantReady is not EPA, not a certifying organization, and not a substitute for the official rules or for the study material your certifying organization provides. Only an EPA-approved certifying organization can test and certify you. EPA keeps the list of approved programs on its certification programs page.
RefrigerantReady is an independent study resource. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or any EPA-approved certifying organization. EPA does not review or approve training or preparatory programs.
